BUT, I am staying optimistic, and hoping that the reign of terror that began with President Bush and has now been amplified by the newly elected Barack Obama will be squashed by the few remaining sensible people left in this country.

And when I say squashed, I mean that through determination, extensive legal battles, and rallying together we can let the government know that they are over-stepping some bounds that were set up by our fore-fathers during the ratification of the Constitution of the United States, specifically made to keep the decision-making power in the hands of the people.

And now that I am done ranting, feel free to check out my other blog here for an insight into my current endeavors and day-to-day life.

Until next time (whenever that is),
Cheers and God-Bless

- Michael

A Welcomed Change...

Well, I have finally done something I have meant to do for a long time now.

I have pretty much exiled MySpace. I will still continue to check my messages there just in case, but I am getting sick and tired of the fakes that are sending me friend invites 50 times a day. I don't have the time or energy to sort through that mess to find the authentic members who actually want to be my friend online or off.

That said, I am now concentrating on developing a Multiply page I have setup recently.
This post is actually being constructed through a Multiply dialog. You can go here to see what the whole Multiply thing is about. It's basically a simplified MySpace type web 2.0 site that isn't clutter with a bajillion ads and (at least not yet) a bunch of fake friend invite spam crap.

It is sad that MySpace is going downhill, and I do not blame the almighty Tom or any of MySpace's developers for this mishap. It is simply the human condition for some people who have no life whatsoever to annoy people they don't even know with fake spam friend invites. It especially annoys me when those invites link to profiles for "hot, sexy chicks" whose pages are simply out there to link unsuspecting users to porn sites and or sites set up for chicks who have no self esteem and bare all because they think it will make people like them more.

To all those people, I say this: GET A FRICKIN' LIFE. The world is already full of losers. Don't join that club. GET A JOB, A CAREER, A REASON TO LIVE. GET GOD. Despite what people will tell you, He IS the way, the truth, and the life. And although I may not be the perfect Christian, but I couldn't imagine my life without my faith in Him, Jesus THE Christ, my Lord and Saviour.

I always hear people complaing that the world is so scary nowadays. I hear people say all the time that they are so stressed out, that they have so many hardships, and life sucks.

There will always be someone who has more hardships than you. And if you want someone to blame for the way life is nowadays, blame yourselves. People are the reason people are unhappy. Not everybody is contributing to the decline of our society, but most do in one aspect or another.

I once saw a shirt that read: "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
I am certain that this t-shirt is referring to large majority of our planet's population, not to mention the ever-so-idiotic Democratic Party.

So, stop lying to yourselves. Be positive and act positive, and maybe you'll make a difference.
And if you are incapable of that, then don't drag the rest of us down with you.

Until next time....
Peace.

I'm back! The guy just moved in, after we got the previous guy kicked out for partying at night and keeping us up late when we had to work and go to school in the morning, etc.

- And that's about all I can think of at the moment........... whew!

Alright, I post later with more to say...

Until next time,
Peace.

oh and BTW, I am enlarging the font of my posts from here forward not for my sake but to aid those who hate reading little tiny text on their 1600x1200 resolution monitors (you lucky chumps!)... ;)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tbjp.blogspot.com/2006/07/my-bad-no-seriously.html' title='My Bad! Potterheads...

Well, I'm sitting at home surfing the net, while some of my friends are waiting in line to see the newest Harry Potter movie, "The Goblet of Fire" (I think thats what it is called). I never really got into the whole Harry Potter craze, so I always make jokes about the books/movies/games whenever they come up in a conversation. And now they're waiting in line for like 4 hours to see one of the first midnight showings of the next movie. Almost like I did for the Star Wars Episode 3 premiere. *Drools at memory...* Except it's for a freakin' Harry Potter movie! Potterheads...
And that brings me to this comparison: Potheads v. Potterheads - Which are crazier?

Root of the Addiction...
Pothead - A chemical substance from a plant that is illegal in many parts of the world.
Potterhead - A series of books that make the reader wish they had magic powers.
Crazier? = Pothead (honestly, don't do drugs kids!)

Long Term Effects?
Pothead - No proven physical changes, except a reputation as a pot-smoking slacker.
Potterhead - Some spells have been known to cause cancer in laboratory animals.
Crazier? = Potterhead (need I explain this? LOL)

Lengths taken to Satisfy...
Pothead - Addictees will steal to pay for the drug, or try to grow it without getting caught.
Potterhead - Addictees will pay full price for books/movie tickets/DVDs/video games.
Crazier? = Pothead (sometimes they just go too far.)

Does it float?
Pothead - Last time I checked, weed is a plant, so I'm assuming it floats in water.
Potterhead - Harry's wooden wand is so saturated with magic, it would surely sink.
Crazier? = Neither (okay, I admit it - buoyancy is irrelevant.)

Conclusion: It seems that, by all accounts, Potheads ARE crazier than Potterheads. It's a shame though, because now I don't have as much leverage against those Potterheads I call friends...
LOL, until next time,
Peace.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tbjp.blogspot.com/2005/11/potheads-v-potterheads.html' title='Potheads v. My house didn't burn down, or get trashed by a hurricane.
In fact, some people will laugh when they discover the meaning of "Starting over...".
About three weeks ago (approximately) I installed a new video card into my PC, and when I restarted my machine, my hard drive crashed. I'm still not 100% positive as to why a TWO YEAR OLD harddrive crashed (most hard drives last a lot longer, I'm told) but I think it might have something to do with the fact that I knocked the harddrive cable going into the motherboard slightly ajar whilst installing the new video card. This, combined with attempting to go into hibernate (via Windows XP), somehow corrupted my entire hard drive leaving nothing to salvage. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Zero. Nothing.
Things I lost include, but are not limited to: games, documents, music, pictures, programs I purchased online, a buttload of emails, and my newest, yet to have been uploaded, version of my website.
Of course, I was devestated at the loss, but relieved when I found out I still had a waranty on my Maxtor hard drive, so I ordered and recieved a new one rather quickly, and now have to send in the old one so they can verify that it is indeed fried.
Now most people would laugh and say its just a computer, but I had a lot of crap (in the good sense) on that hard drive, most of which was not backed up (I know I can't get mad at anybody but myself for that one) but luckily I was able to get back a lot of what I lost.
For example, I was surprised when Apple Inc. allowed me to redownload all my iTunes music.
Although I still have to rerip all the music CDs I own...
But alas, I have gotten my PC running at tip top shape (after purchasing a more powerful CPU to satisfy the insatiable appetite of my power hungry new video card.) and hope to continue on with the endeavors that my PC facilitates (artistry, music downloading, website/webpage stuff, etc.). Now if only I could back up my blog...

Until next time... Peace.

Good luck, and then some...

Today was my lucky day. Cliché, I know, but true nonetheless.
I have my night class (Anthropology 1) Mondays, and it is in Vallejo (a bit of a drive from where I live) so I always have to leave earlier that I normally would to make it there on time.
Well, I got distracted surfing the net like I tend to do, and ended up leaving a little too late.
While on the freeway, I was unusually speedy and unusually aware of my surroundings (as to stay on the lookout for highway patrolmen) and managed to get to class in the nick of time as a result.
However, I'd forgotten to do the neccessary reading and a small bit of homework for the class, so when I got there and found my entire class AND the teacher pacing back and forth outside the door of our classroom, I knew divine intervention had taken place.
Apparently, the guy who had the keys for the classrooms was gone, and the only the other person with keys (the janitor) was in the hospital. Someone had forgotten to unlock the door earlier, so we had no way of getting inside.
My instructor's only other option was to lecture in the lobby or send us packing.
Not wanting to lecture in the hall, coupled with the fact that she was juiced up on painkillers to counter the effects of a shoulder injury, the teacher decided to cancel the class. This, after about fifteen minutes of waiting for someone to arrive who could open up the classroom, preceeded my heaving a sigh of relief. My only grievance - having wasted pricey gas to get there, and having to waste more pricey gas getting home.
BUT that's not all. On the way home, I was going just over (barely) 75mph on a 65mph freeway and a highway patrolmen just passed me up like I wasn't there. Of course the guy going like 95mph ahead of me may have had something to do with it, as well as the fact that I was slowing the fast lane I was driving in by going nearly the speed limit. Maybe cops do have some common sense...

Until next time,
Peace.

Media Mail Rocks!

Apparently shipping costs are not as bad I had once thought.
Whilst ordering textbooks online, I noticed numerous shipping options were available.
At the site I went to called TextBookX.com, I was presented with about thirty different prices to pay for shipping (anywhere from free(?) to about 15 bucks (in about 5o to 75 cent increments) via media mail method.
I chose one somewhere around the 2 to 3 dollar range, and upon doing this I knew the packages probably wouldn't arrive in time for my first classes. BUT they were dirt cheap, so I went ahead and placed the orders.
The next page indicated my packages would arrive sometime between August 22 (the first day of school) and August 28 (almost one week later), and I figured the latter would probably be more accurate because of the small amount I paid for shipping.
The first of three books arrived on August 22nd exactly. The second arrived today (the 24th) and hopefully the third will make here tommorrow. Maybe they didn't have very far to ship, but for the small amount of money I paid, they arrived pretty freakin' fast.
Until next time...
Peace.

For the Record...

Just a quick FYI.
I'm am now offically back in school!
I have classes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights.
Cross your fingers, because I am taking three classes that I have been told are not the easiest classes to pass. This is, of course, against store policy because it is unsanitary. So I kindly ask them to please remove their hand(s) from the bin, and offer to get them a sample myself if they so desire. I turn my head for less than five seconds to greet another customer, and out of the corner of my eye, the same customer puts their hand in another bin to fetch an unauthorized sample. I immediately turn around and request AGAIN, POLITELY, that they remove their hands from the bin and ask me for a sample if they need one. They turn away and I turn back to ring another customer's purchases. THEN, after twice reminding them to ask me for samples, they ONCE AGAIN put their hand in ANOTHER bin! At this point, any person with anger management issues would probably hop over the counter and beat the customer senseless. However, I am a predominantly easy-going person, so I kindly and slightly raise my voice and inform the customer that if they do not abide by my previous instructions they will have to leave the store, AFTER purchasing whatever items they have already picked out. At that moment, their brain finally registers that "Hey, this guy is displeased at me for doing what I am doing, so maybe I should stop doing what I am doing." So they walk across the store, now aware that they are being watched and take cover behind a rack of candy, so as not to attract any more attention to themselves. But I can't get mad because they couldn't help it - they're just stupid.

Then, of course there is those stupid people on the road. You know the ones. They're the ones that you just cannot believe were able to attain a legitimate driver's license. For example:
Exhibit B - The Old Granny
So I'm driving to work one day and I come up behind an pale white, 80-Something Buick. I'm trying to go the speed limit of 40 miles per hour, but the Buick is barely making thirty. I honk my horn once. Twice. The Buick speeds up for just a second then goes back down to about 25 mph. I honk again. The car behind me honks. A car a few more cars back honks twice. I honk once more as I coast through an intersection. Finally, the Buick pulls over to the side of the road, and I drift by with an annoyed smirk on my face. I see an elderly woman rigidly gripping the steering wheel, looking out the window of the Buick to the cars beginning to speed past her. She is dazed and confused and obviously oblivious as to why she was getting battered with honking horns just seconds earlier. I continue on in disbelief, because I know she can't help it - she's just stupid. (To whom it may concern, I am not an Agist! I know plenty of smart elderly folks.)
Exhibit C - The Bumper Humper
(BTW, if this term has not yet been patented, would the patent office please contact me about doing so?)
One fine night, I am driving home from work, down the same street mentioned above, at just over 40 mph.
Behind me, a dark colored sedan (hard to tell in the dark) of unknown type (also hard to tell in the dark) pulls up behind me from a side street, at first going the speed limit. As I continue down the road, the dark sedan creeps closer and closer to my vehicle as it picks up speed. The sedan settles for a three foot gap between it and me. Then, during one instance when the sedan's headlight are not directly aimed at my car, I catch a glimpse of the driver, who has an annoyed look on his face. This look is apparently stemming from the fact that he is caught behind somebody who actually drives the posted speed limit. I let out a brief chuckle and pump my brakes quickly. The quick but short burst of brakes surprises the driver, who falls back about twenty feet as a safety measure. I continue on, thinking all is good. But the dark sedan quickly reclaims it's position three feet from my bumper. I tap on the brakes again, although lesser so this time, and the sedan backs off a few feet, then pulls back up. Ahead, I see my turn-off, so pause until I get to about a three second brake gap for the turn and hit my brakes hard, but smoothly, and pop on my blinker as I go into the turn. The unsuspecting driver pumps his brakes hard and swerves to avoid clipping the back corner of my car, then guns the gas and races past me. As I complete the turn into my neighborhood, I realize I can't get mad at the guy - he's just stupid.

And with that said, I think my point has been proven. For you stupid people, the point was that there are a humiliating abundance of stupid people on this planet. And if you don't agree with that, then you're stupid too.

LOL until next time...

Told ya so!

In case nobody believed me, I have proof (the extruciatingly long period between now and my last post) that proves that I've been a busy body for quite awhile! Add "FINOBLE" after the last "/" to see my Finoble Productions (movie production) site.
That's all I can think of right now, so I'm going to bed.
Until next time...

Eminem, Sheminem!

This is a previously unreleased snapshot of me posing as a rapper for Halloween. When they gave it to me, they gave it to me as is (for the most part). Part of that included some window tinting that was falling off and looking downright ugly, not to mention a jakked electrical system (that year just happened to suck), dirty floors, stained seats, and an 'old school' stereo system including the radio and a cassette tape player.
You can understand why I was not too thrilled to drive the vehicle around town.
So I went to work fixing it up over the past year or so (in my insanely valuable spare time). I began by vacuum and cleaning the floors, then cleaning stains out of the seats, and vacuuming in every nook and cranny I could manage to find.
Soon after that, I rewired the electrical system, so as to prevent my electric locks, which act possessed whenever given power, from locking me out of the car and acting on their own will instead of mine (no joke!). A double bonus of this rewiring was the ability to use my cigarette lighter, not for smoking (cuz I don't), but to plug in an FM transmitter for use with my MP3 player, which now kicks more booty than a psychotic gorilla on steroids!
I also happened to come in contact with a friend of a friend who agreed to remove the messed up tinting from my windows for a minimal fee (seventy bucks), which I soon found out was an extreme good deal. So it was done, and my windows came out looking almost new! To compliment, I washed my windows inside and out, and finished up the job by getting a deluxe carwash with the works (including wax and all that).
Sadly, a "evidently large" bird crapped on my hood while I was at work the next day, but a well-timed rainstorm the day after that removed all evidence of the atrocity, restoring my car to its former self. Now I am hoping that all of that work will pay off whenever I decide to sell the car, by pushing up the potential resale value. Wish me luck!
And until next time...

Peace.

Is this... could it be... a post?!?

Seriously, though.
I haven't been able to post a post I've wanted to post for like three days now.
But I'm finally doing it! Woohoo!
(If you want to be send me something for my b-day via email, be my guest!)
On that note, I'll be 21 yrs. old and legally able to do pretty much anything!
(Although I'm not exactly sure what the extent of "anything" includes, esp. in California!)
Well, I have lots of junk to do, so I will speak to ya later.
Peace.

Halo 2 in the Hizzle!!

(Okay, well, according to my brother, the "slang master", 'hizzle' means house.)

The entire two hours that I waited in line for Halo 2 were well worth it. (Plus, I'm sure there were people who had to wait three times as long, so I feel pretty good.) That game kicks more @$$ than Duke Nukem and Arnold Swartzenegger combined!! I haven't beat the single player campaign yet, mostly due to work and homework that take up most of my free time, but I've managed. Also, I resigned up for XBox Live, so if any of you have got an X-Box, Halo 2, and X-Box Live, give me a shout out: My gamertag is "Mister Bulletz" (minus the quotes).
Anyway, I've got to run to get to my very informal and yet so very boring Ethnic Studies class. Apologies? Nah.

If you haven't noticed, my last entry was dated in early September. I haven't been on recently because the server this blog is hosted on went down because of a huge hurricane. Anyway, here I am again, back to torture you, my fans, with annoyingly satirical analogies of my daily life. Here goes nothing:

And so ends another day in the life of me. I've successfully managed to write an entire three page essay in less than three hours for my last class (Social Sci 22) tonite. I forgot about it (no seriously, I did!) and had to unleash my massively insane typing abilities on the school computer to get the job done in time. And look! I still have time to do this entry! Cool, huh? No. Fine. Suit yourself.
Anyway, I am going to continue working on an interactive story I've been working on for quite some time. If you want to check out what I've got so far, link to this URL. I started a long time ago, so my grammar kind of seems strange in the beginning but its gets progressively better after the first five or ten pages, so don't pass judgement too quickly. And I apologize for it being an ad-hosted Angelfire site, but they're really reliable despite the ads they force upon your webpages there. And I need reliable so none of my work gets deleted or lost. Until next time...

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tbjp.blogspot.com/2004/10/whoops-apologies-nah.html' title='Whoops! (Don't we all?)
Also, I saw that movie "Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchids."
My friend B was not impressed, and he said he almost fell asleep during the film.
I though it was okay, but the first Anacondas movie was much better. In this one,
it almost looked as if they did that thing where they film a real snake and edit it
into the film with the actors, even though they didn't. I freaked out cause I thought it was a car full of angry-looking spanish dudes I saw in the drive-thru. But as I pulled into the parking lot to converse with the driver of the other car, a white guy stepped out of the vehicle, a suped-up sedan of some sort, and inspected his rear bumper. Then he came over and told me that there was no damage to his car from what he could see, so I was in the clear as far as paying for damages was concerned. He got back in his vehicle and sped back out onto the main road without a second thought.
Amazing, huh?
I thought so too, because the average American would have sued me up the wazoo for back and neck problems, mental anguish, and that two centimeter scratch on the rear bumper.
I lucked out.
